The Three Pillars of Sewa Atlanta
Sewa Atlanta’s work is built on three core pillars: education, healthcare access, and food security, coming together to uplift underserved families and strengthen our community through service.
K-8 Education
The Sewa AmeriCorps Tutoring program supports elementary and middle school students from low-income families by offering homework assistance and academic enrichment. The program strengthens educational outcomes while fostering confidence and long-term success. Through consistent mentorship, personalized support, students are encouraged to develop strong study habits, resilience, and a positive attitude toward learning.
Healthcare Access

The Sewa GAPI Clinic is a collaborative initiative with GAPI (Georgia Association of Physicians of Indian Heritage) that provides access to essential healthcare services for underserved communities. Through free clinics supported by volunteer physicians and healthcare professionals, and volunteers from Sewa this program helps bridge critical gaps in care.
Food Security

The Sewa Food Drive addresses food insecurity among low-income families by distributing nutritionally rich fresh produce along with essential non-perishable food items. This initiative ensures families have consistent access to healthy and wholesome food. By partnering with volunteers and community organizations the program promotes awareness, and community-wide efforts to combat hunger.
