Sewa International ATL
Sewa International ATL
  • The Atlanta Chapter brings its three pillars to life through practical, impactful programs that serve real community needs. These efforts include free health clinics, food security initiatives, and academic support for underserved children. Volunteerism remains at the heart of the chapter’s work, with community members and youth actively participating in hands-on service through initiatives such as the LEAD Program. Together, these experiences foster leadership, responsibility, and a lifelong commitment to service and giving back.

  • K - 8 Education

The Sewa AmeriCorps After School Program is a free program that supports K-8 graders from economically disadvantaged communities in the Metro Atlanta area by providing homework help, enrichment activities, and mentorship. The program is designed to improve academic performance while fostering holistic development and building essential life skills that help students succeed both in school and beyond.

  • Sewa GAPI

Sewa GAPI Clinic is a free healthcare initiative dedicated to serving underserved communities, in collaboration with GAPI. Volunteers from Sewa, along with GAPI physicians, offer primary healthcare services on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month to those in need, guided by the principle सर्वे सन्तु निरामया” (May all be free from illness). Free health clinics play a vital role in bridging gaps in healthcare access by delivering essential medical services to vulnerable populations. By ensuring compassionate and accessible care, the Sewa GAPI Clinic not only improves individual well-being but also strengthens the overall health and resilience of the community.

  • Sewa Food Drive

Atlanta Chapter actively works to combat food insecurity and support families in need across the Atlanta community through its food drive and distribution efforts. As part of SEWA’s broader mission of “Service to Humanity is Service to God,” the Atlanta chapter organizes regular food collection and distribution programs to provide nutritious food, fresh produce, and essential supplies to low-income individuals and families. The Food drives represent more than just a meal; they're a commitment to combating hunger and supporting the well-being of our community's most vulnerable members.

  • Sewa LEAD

LEAD is Leadership, Educational and Development Program for High School. This 2025-2026 academic year we have 100+ students enrolled in this program. Our LEAD program focuses on inculcating the Hindu principle that believes that the world is one family (वसुधैव कुटुंबकम). This principle encourages our youths to serve people in need without any discrimination of any kind.
